Dear Friends,

The Window City team would like to extend our deepest thanks for your continued support over the past year. This unprecedented time has been a challenge for us all, but we have seen the community prove time and time again that we are stronger when we work together. Now more than ever, it is imperative that we keep #Ontario Together and continue practicing the necessary safety measures needed to keep our community safe and healthy. We could not have gotten through these uncertain times without you.

We’ve also made meeting the Energy Star® 2020 Requirements in Canada easier than ever with our LoĒ-180ESC™ glass coating. On January 1st of this year, Natural Resources Canada issued an updated set of Energy Star® guidelines; to comply with the updated and expanded Energy Star® Canada guidelines, the LoĒ-180ESC™ coating was developed. It has been designed to enable more windows and doors to qualify with the new energy rating of 34. The LoĒ-180ESC™ is a 3rd surface coating for a dual pane unit, which allows more energy from the sun to enter the home while allowing the low U-Factor to keep the heat in.

As one of the first Energy Star® partners in Canada, we are proud of the fact that almost all Window City products are CSA certified. We have carefully developed a raw material mix that offers a stronger and longer lasting base to our vinyl windows. What else can you expect from Energy Star® certified windows? Additional guidelines state all Energy Star® products must meet a certain U-value, energy rating and air-tight efficiency specifications. This means that all products must have a low rate of heat loss balanced with low air leakage and potential passive solar gain. What does this mean for your home? A warmer, more cozy Winter; a chill and sweat-free Summer; and more money in your pocket.

Building off the 2019 releases, Window City has been hard at work creating a new extruded capstock colour option in Charcoal! If you are looking for a colour that is modern yet timeless. The trendy Charcoal option is quickly gaining popularity in interior design circles.

In these trying times, supporting local businesses now and in the coming year of 2021 is so important. We’re happy to announce that Window City has partnered with many new suppliers, all located right here in Ontario. We strongly believe that Ontario together is better, even six-feet apart. Thank you for your continued support and trust in Window City products; we can’t wait to continue improving our products and services to further benefit you and your home. We look forward to working with you all in 2021, have a wonderful and safe holiday season and a happy New Year!

Please note: Window City will be closed Tuesday, December 22nd, and will resume operations on Monday, January 4th.
